1441929 2017-11-15 01:39:00 Before this I had 2 Nokia Symbian phones the C6-01 and the E95 (~2009). Then before that was a Nokia 6210.

Up untill a year ago I was using a Ericson T39 as my work ph (vintage 2001) . It had the full 2 lines of text & 2 full colours: black & white
Did the job, really small, and only needed to charge it 2x week max. I guess Im just too cheap to spend big $ on phones
A friend recently bought a $1000 cellphone. Madness , I just cant understand spending that sort of money on a phone . Almost as much as I paid for my car

1441930 2017-11-15 02:12:00 My PC is coming up on 8 years old now. I've added new SSDs, more RAM and new graphics cards over that time, but the i7-860 with a mid overclock still runs awesome. I do remember I bought an 80GB Intel SSD at the same time as the mainboard/CPU, and I think it was around $600 at the time. Maximum ouch.

Currently I've got an i7-860 @ 3.6GHz, 16GB RAM, 2x 250GB SSDs in RAID0 and an Asus HD7970. Still goes hard. Although it does use probably 3x the power that a new Coffee Lake system with a GTX 1060 - 1070 would use...

1441931 2017-11-15 03:54:00 Next question. How old is your mobile phone? What ver Android?
.

Beats me. Bought that used too.

Android? What Android? Lol, I have an old school flip phone.

I have no need to be online 24/7, it's pretty much a txt ph. Can't see paying these mad prices for a 24/7 must check my unsocial media crap things.

I was looking up my Intel Q8200 2.33Ghz. Released in late 2008, I got it a week before Christmas that year. Interestingly i7 was also released at that time and still gets a CPU score of ~5800, my Q8200 is 2800. Would had been so expensive though. The Intel i9 are available now which I cannot justify.

1441937 2017-11-15 07:03:00 My main computer is a 1.5yr old Gigabyte Win 10 laptop that I use as a desktop with a monitor, keyboard & mouse etc attached. I also have a 1yr old 12.5" HP spectre X2 with Win 10 which is useful in terms of portability.

I also have an old 2012 HP Pavilion notebook with Win 7, and a 2008 HP Pavilion with Vista. While the Vista and Win 7 machines are painfully slow in comparison with the Win 10 machines (unsurprising when you compare hardware and RAM), they have been 100% stable and problem free the whole time I've had them. Oh actually I lie - the vista machine had problems with the network card at one stage, but that's about it. I'm amazed how long and well they've lasted.
