| 1440953 | 2017-10-21 05:31:00 | Had VDSL with Spark for about 2 months. Sitting now with my laptop in the next room from the modem I get the following. Ping 18, 36 down, 14 up. Ken :) |

| 1440954 | 2017-10-21 08:15:00 | They sent me the VDSL modem (with WiFi also) a few weeks ago. Based on the absence of the promised email advice, they may not have yet optimised it (done remotely by VF), but a speedtest just now gave 89Mbps down, 36 up and a ping of 15ms. I don't stream, so the speed is a non issue for me, and server lag seems more of an annoyance than download speed anyway, but the free addition of the WiFi option might come in very hand soon. I did a bit of digging, and these modems seem to have 3 levels of password, a user password, a remote password used by Vodafone (while I'll change after they've optimised it), and a top level manufacturers password. I can't say I like having hardware at home with so many backdoors in it! |
