1440730 2017-10-16 02:03:00 I guess you intend to sell them. So just send it to the Auctioneers....they will ask for your reserve, give you their valuation and auction them. pctek (84)
1440731 2017-10-16 02:24:00 Yeah right... this collection comprises, at a guess, about 2000+ stamps!

there's your problem
Cant really expect anyone to trawl through 2000 stamps to value them.
I would guess they'll just look quickly through some & give an estimate , unless truly valuable stamps were somehow separate from the bulk.

1440732 2017-10-16 02:29:00 Ive still got my stamp collection from 40 years ago .
I'd rather give them away they have them eventually end up in the dump
Any ideas on what to do with them ? Just the usual kids collection.

1440733 2017-10-16 04:35:00 1101 I will see your 40 years and up you 30. First day covers would probably fetch quite a lot on money.

Leaving mine to one of the kids to pass on down to their kids.

.

A valuer will charge.
An auctioneer will not - because they get a commission on the sale.

And yes, they will trawl through them....

1440736 2017-10-16 22:34:00 Don't worry, I used to glue them into the stamp album, how stupid was that.

My favourite stamp !! Poland: First to Fight.

1440738 2017-10-22 21:45:00 You probably don't want to hear this, but don't get your hopes up about the value. A friend of mine decided to dispose of her collection that she had basically regarded as part of her retirement fund and only got a small fraction of what she had expected it to be worth. Tony (4941)
1440739 2017-10-22 21:48:00 First day covers would probably fetch quite a lot on money. Some old ones maybe, but recent ones are created in such large numbers that they value has plummeted. Tony (4941)
