1441141 2017-10-26 02:02:00 The taxing is just beginning. :p

Regional fuel taxes are a bit of a pain. The service stations situated just outside the area affected by the tax will be rubbing their hands in glee as they suddenly have thousands of new customers from just within the affected ares, while the stations just inside the area will be doing the opposite.

1441142 2017-10-26 02:27:00 So they'll still have cheaper gas than Wellington..... psycik (12851)
1441143 2017-10-26 02:47:00 If you thinks thats the only one, brace yourself.

to come: and it will now come : since Nats arnt there to stop it
road user chargers , tolled roads . Yep, look forward to having tolled inner city roads & busy roads tolled,
expect even more additional petrol taxes, because they love to just keep adding another petrol tax. 5c here, 10c there

Real reason : to discourage car use . As some lefties think we all belong on the bus, while those in power will never take the bus or trains

1441145 2017-10-26 03:13:00 Oh yes. So it will go from $1.83 to $1.93. Still cheaper than a lot of other places in NZ.

And how else should they fund it? Tax the rest of NZ as well? You can't have services without the money to pay for them.

1441147 2017-10-26 04:49:00 Meanwhile, across the ditch:

I've just got back from Queensland and $1:14 was readily available, but, the thieves closest to the Airport charged $1:42.9

Anyone else reckon 8375

we're being screwed?

1441149 2017-10-26 05:02:00 Well the commie leader has shot herself in the foot because the only people affected are the poor people who will become poorer. Especially dumb move as she has appointed herself as minister of poverty. Although I have always wondered why people who own cars can ever claim poverty. Like take a bus or walk. prefect (6291)
