650248 2008-03-17 20:29:00 The other day I was bored, so, to entertain myself, I took apart the remote to my tv (a cheapo Cobolt 21" tv from the warehouse). This surprised me, as under the veneer there were holes for other buttons, and some of them had matching pads on the PCB. Pressing these buttons with a screwdriver resulted in some interesting things happening. One button gave the current sound system in use (appearing as SOUND BG), another gave a massive menu with options like "OSD1" and "TxRx", and each one had a value (some were hex values, others weren't). Another one gave "TV IC Adjustment", and pressing the vol up button made it go to static (placing into standby and turning back on fixed this). Anyone know where I could find some info on the, a service manual maybe (and yes, I have googled it). Thanks. ubergeek85 (131)

I can't find any kind of service manual either...thats an interesting one. I might pull apart my cheap DSE TV remote and see what's in it!!
