| 649822 | 2008-03-16 00:40:00 | Took the old PC out and reloaded the Ghost file - all the right drivers, Win95, Office 2k and IE 5. I took MS Office off, it also caused a monitor blurring effect. Uninstalled IE, funny, M$ made it compulsory MS Office 2k with IE. That took out the web integration and my free resources went from 82% to 92% The HDD, its 1.2GB, currently using 280MB :nerd: I like it, its not slow at all, for the clerical work. If we needed a spare PC that will be it, I even connected the ADSL router via RJ45 and it works. Firefox may be great, least I can get the latest version and not be restricted by M$ unless I upgrade the Windows and then also the hardware. I loaded a few windows games on it .. went via my 5.25" and 3.5" floppy disks and there is one or two games I like but then my mission is now to create a startup disk with sound drivers. I had the soundcard and the CD-ROM (Goldstar) since 1995 and its like unbreakable. Still goes well. Hence my DVDRW on the new computer was a LG brand :) The GUI of Win95 is practically the same. Too bad the classic version of Simcity didn't work no more. Good days .... Edit. Oh its a AMD 200Mhz, 64MB RAM. The new computer has the same brand of LG/Goldstar optical drive, Gigabyte motherboard, AMD CPU :D |
