Unfortionately I missed it on TV, and it isn't mentioned on the TVNZ website or avaliable on their podcasts. | 649013 | 2008-03-13 02:31:00 | Eff Off Reporter: Kevin Milne Porirua mum, Kelleigh Sheffield-Cranstoun, was astounded to be told to F*** Off by someone called Bruce when she contacted Aotea Web Hosting on the internet. She wanted to set up a business selling from home and was interested in hiring Aotea Web Hosting to set up her web page. She emailed them with seven questions and got the foul email immediately back. It simply said "F*** Off. Kind regards, Bruce." She emailed back with her concerns and was told "Go Away. We are unable to provide assistance to you. Kind regards Bruce." Kelleigh's indignant mother sent another email to Aotea Web Hosting that was this time replied to by someone called Fiona. She apologised and said she'd endeavour to delve into the matter further. But nothing more was heard so Kelleigh contacted Fair Go. Turns out Bruce is Bruce Clarke, the owner of Aotea Web Hosting Ltd, which has its Registered Office on Great Barrier Island but is run by Clarke, a Kiwi, out of Britain. He admitted sending the emails first claiming that he'd been harrassed by Kelleigh. After we contacted him, he sent an apology to Kelleigh saying that he'd reacted the way he did because he was under stress and he'd been "battered" by Kelleigh's questions. Fair Go has seen Kelleigh's email to Clarke and is astonished that Clarke could have been battered by her simple questions. Finally, in a phone call from Britain, Clarke changed his story again and said that it was a case of mistaken identity. He'd mistook Kelleigh for someone who'd been causing the company problems. Fair Go accepts that people sometimes do the wrong thing under stress but when they do they should get back and make amends. If they've told someone to Eff Off they should make profuse apologies. We think Clarke's behaviour was shabby to say the least... especially as Aotea Web Hosting claims to offer "Fast, friendly and knowledgable support." |

| 649016 | 2009-03-05 00:41:00 | Hi, I'm now living in the States, but we have had a really bad bad experiences with this guy, when I lived in New Zealand, my partner built him several websites for his business, under a lot of different domain names, so don't just look out for aotea hosting, theres serveral different names he works under... go and read this recommendation at our site is you are interested in really not dealing with him [edit: URL removed] I specialise in making websites findable in search engines, and he actually sent us a quote request last night that I found very offensive. In the other services part of the quote form, he wrote that he wanted "sex" I have been to both links, and the one at tvnz.co.nz there on sound for the national bank add at the start, but no sound for the interview. And the other link won't show for anyone outside NZ, I might see if there's a way to pay to watch one thing. Watching the first link with no sound was pretty bad, but I would quite like to hear the words, especially when they had him as a puppet, that was pretty funny to watch, but knowing how he abused us or me when he was unhappy with something, I can just guess what he said. OK, I just checked the url before I submitted this post, and the sound works now.... actually wish I hadn't heard it now, it brings back memories of the C**P he said to me, that got me so upset, and that had such devastating effect on me, about 18 months ago…. that guy definitely needs psychiatric services fast, he's lost the plot........
