794413 2009-07-23 04:51:00 After doing a virus scan and removing serval viruses I have received the following error after rebooting my vista pc.

"interactive logon process initialization has failed. Please consult the event log for more details"

After this error message, vista won't start. All my other partitions are fine, windows 7 and xp start with no problems.

I've tried booting my vista cd and used the repair options without success.

Any ideas? I've tried searching this message via google with no working solutions.

794414 2009-07-23 04:53:00 Have had to fix this before, what I did was boot from a BART PE disc, and export the event log to a flash drive.

Then go through the logs, and look for ones relating to a bad manifest.

Once you find it, boot into the Vista Recovery CD and replace it.

794415 2009-07-23 05:16:00 Bart PE doesn't support vista. Vista event logs can't be read with windows xp, I've already tried that. I think I've found something similar to Bart PE for vista so I'll have a go. stutank (13595)
794416 2009-07-23 05:31:00 No, you copy the event log using any disc(I use BARTPE)

Then you read the logs on a Vista computer!
