| 794254 | 2009-07-23 00:06:00 | Hello, Recently when trying to access a webpage that I've used in the past with no probs, and I've been getting a pop up saying that the page I want to view contains both secure and non-secure items and do I want to view the non-secure ones. Is this a rogue setting somewhere........something to do with Active X controls?.(currently switched off as I've heard they are a menace). Also, I'd like to view flash content on the web but need active X switched on. Is this advisable? Any help greatly appreciated. |

In most cases there is nothing to worry about but if you frequent some P2P networks and keep downloading stuff you may get hit with nasties. Think before you click. Keep your antivirus up to date and use a firewall is the best advice I can give you. Also backup or copy your important files so that if you do get hit you can reformat and restore. |

However it _could_ also be some adware on your machine etc putting things on too |
