| 794252 | 2009-07-22 21:31:00 | I want to reinstall WMP10 - please don't argue with me as this is part of my master plan and I want to move WMP10 to a different hdd, off the root hdd and let it live there from now on . I already have an . exe of WMP9 saved to make the transition as I know Windows says that WMP is part of the OS and it might crash the whole system if I mess with it but I figure that if XP sees that I still have a version of WMP, even though it's v9, then it shouldn't scream too loud . Should I made a back-up of the registry first? Is Windows gonna get nasty about putting WMP9, and then WMP10 on a different hdd? Somehow this feels worse than Chinese quadratic equations with Roman Numerals - or will it actually work? |
