| 649308 | 2008-03-15 01:07:00 | I think not Ninjabear. The iPhone SDK was released to over 100,000 developers late last week with version 2.0 due out in early June. The iPhone/iPod touch now also do Microsoft Exchange Mail Server (push email). In short the rest of the smart phone competition can put their heads between their legs and kiss their collective asses goodbye. ;):banana Hahahahhahahahahahahahah. OMG, thanks Vitalstatistix. Like the iPhone is even going to make a dent. Poofy people who buy products on the whims of Steve Jobs' latest rant and shiny color schemes are not really the people who are going to be using Exchange Mail Server. Most IT departments are so against the iPhone that even if the CEO steeped in with a problem they wouldn't help him. |

| 649310 | 2008-03-15 02:11:00 | Wow, the fanboys are really out in force!! Well, just to join the fray, despite the lack of forward progress by Palm as a company, I'm still a Palm fan. Recently I broke my (Telecom) Treo 650 (Palm OS) and Telecom loaned me a Treo 750 (Windows Mobile 5 OS). The difference was staggering. Despite using Windows (desktop) on a daily basis, I found the navigation on the 750 non-intuitive, clumsy and the phone itself hard to use (despite it looking like a Treo). I also had major issues with the eReader software crashing and rebooting every time I tried to open an eBook to start reading where I hard last left off... I was so pleased my my 650 came back from the US fixed!! (Telecom wanted to charge me $200 just to look at the repair - I got it repaired in Georgia, freight each way and in 8 days for NZ$190, door to door!) So my vote (the only one so far!!) goes to Palm. If (when?) Palm is no longer available I will go anywhere BUT Windows Mobile. |
