| 649297 | 2008-03-14 09:42:00 | My nokia is a symbian, and it is good for what it is, a cheapish smart phone. I don't have any problems with symbian, and it seems reliable and easy to install applications on. It is also multiptasking, unlike OS X on the iphone, which doesn't multitask. At this stage that appears to be a restriction employed by Apple which is also following though to the SDK as a lot of developers have been noticing when they are wanting to have multiple apps developed and running on the iPhone. I guess more will be known in June with the 2.0 release - possibly it is to preserve/extend battery life... |

With having third party applications running in the background, if one of those programs is a virus, it could cause apple a lot of headaches and bad advertsing. |

| 649299 | 2008-03-14 13:59:00 | ahem beeswax. I think not Feb stats for mobile OS from net applications shows iPhone with .14% and climbing ahead of Windows CE at .06% which would mean that the iPhone has 2x the market share of Windows CE. marketshare.hitslink.com net applications measures browser usage from 40,000 business websites. Ahem, while it is true that Windows Mobile runs on architecture based on Windows CE, it is NOT Windows CE. Windows Mobile is Windows Mobile. There are no stats for that so it is hard to say which is has more users but it would be very very safe to say that it is WM. BTW, how ya'll doing with about 7% market share with Windows enjoying 89%? Ooooh, 7%... :lol: Like thats even a threat |

| 649301 | 2008-03-14 17:32:00 | I always found symbian easier to use. I mean for windows you have to click start the programs then the application.Setting up internet settings manually are a pain For symbian its plain and simple All programs are under the application menus.You just press to go into the menu Then for copying shortcuts to other folders its easier to do too on symbian device. I really think there isn't enough symbian device in Nz NZ needs more symbian models |

The iPhone SDK was released to over 100,000 developers late last week with version 2.0 due out in early June. The iPhone/iPod touch now also do Microsoft Exchange Mail Server (push email). In short the rest of the smart phone competition can put their heads between their legs and kiss their collective asses goodbye. ;):banana |

| 649305 | 2008-03-15 00:48:00 | hehe.I doubt that Nokia has been here way more than apple ever released an iphone iphone has no 3g,no stereo speakers,Doesn't support the tilt screen feature in n95 and n82,poor camera quality. Your stuck to one network only unless you unlock it and if you do the waranty is void No point buying it with no warranty. We will see who wins.I support Nokia When texting .Touch screen requires more precise movement and placing. Touch screen is nothing new.Sony Ericsson already had a symbian device like the P990i.. I don't see whats new with Iphone other than it looks good No light sensor.Xenon Flash of N82 beats the iphone |

| 649306 | 2008-03-15 00:57:00 | Nokia are actually struggling to sell their top end phones. So I don't think they pose a threat. iPhone doesn't have 3G yet - it's coming. Most current phones with 3G don't fully utilize it. | vitalstatistix (9182) | ||
