| 794179 | 2009-07-24 02:42:00 | Looking at that info, I wouldn't be surprised if he has used AutoGordian Knot to encode the video. I notice that the audio is sent to 'variable bitrate' compression. I've sometimes had trouble with audio-sync issues arising from this setting, so you could try and get him to re-do it with 'constant bitrate' setting instead. Another thought - maybe he's trying to record a stream off some sort of video-input (like off a TV tuner card). In this case, he'd probably getting into strife by trying to record the video and audio at the same time using high-compression codecs. He'd be better off leaving the audio as an uncompressed wav file while the video encodes, and then seeing if he can do the mp3 audio compression later. Even fairly grunty PCs can struggle to encode a stream of video to avi and audio to mp3 at the same time. Hope this helps! Adge |
