793391 2009-07-20 12:37:00 Look in the BIOS, and make sure its configured as the bootdisk (and see if the BIOS is detecting it) Speedy Gonzales (78)
793392 2009-07-20 12:42:00 Set the HD to the first priority in the BIOS.

Also, if its IDE then you will need to configure the jumper settings for slave, master or cable select.

Was the WinXP drive installed originally on the system you put the drive into.

The error message could be likely to be no system disk or something like that. More info needed.

793394 2009-07-21 02:04:00 The hard drive came out of a working computer,I thought it would have been easier to just put in another puter rather than setting up all my stuff into this one nzace (6057)
793395 2009-07-21 02:06:00 Normally doesn't work easily, cause all the drivers are different, but at this stage the PC isn't even seeing it? Make sure the jumpers are set correctly, and that you can feel/hear the drive actually spin up.

Check in the BIOS and make sure you can see the drive there.

Whats the exact error message that's coming up?
