| 652338 | 2008-03-25 09:49:00 | I went with Les Mills as they had classes I liked from when I was in Napier . I use free weights, so they'd all have been much of a muchness for me . I grabbed a membership off of trademe- cost me $200 but made savings in less than a year, still have it now . . . Some things to consider: Have you visited any of them? What do they feel like to you? Go when you think you'll be going, so get a feel for the atmosphere, the music (can be annoying- there is nothing inspirational about Bonnie Tyler) and who else is training around you . Yeah, it shouldn't matter, but you will have people act like dicks around you and generally get in you way, so it is a factor . What are you looking to do- classes, free weights, CV work? Why- lose weight, improve in sports, strength training, bodybuilding, fight fitness? When- evenings, lunch, mornings, weekends? What else are you doing aside from gym work? Sports etc . Have a wonder around, get a feel for what you like, don't sign anything on the dotted line without comparing and seeing which ones you prefer- they will all put the hard sell on you . Good luck! |
