652138 2008-03-23 21:22:00 Its an urban myth

KTLA does not make up urban myths....this is reported on several news sites in the US.

652140 2008-03-23 22:34:00 As far as I know this has happened to quite a few people in the States. Saw a 60 Minutes piece (or similar) on it years ago. There's apparently an easy way to build a venting system into the drains so that if they're blocked they vent the suction, and there's a lobby to make this mandatory. Deane F (8204)

652143 2008-03-23 23:57:00 Pardon the pun but that sucks. It happened six months ago and she died recently.

The author of Fight Club is mentioned around this news story too because he a wrote short story based on this urban legend (stash.ableapp.com).

652144 2008-03-24 00:00:00 Nothing on Snopes . . . .

. . . and I wouldn't think there'd be a link there either .

KTLA is a Tribune Station . . . not interested in urban legends, myths or mythis (Mrs . ) either!

If indeed it becomes a bad post, I shall make the necessary contrite contraction . :punk
