bloody media still can't get it right :annoyed:

looks like a few people got tutin poisoning after eating comb honey in the coromandel area.
i don't know a lot on it as we don't get it here. i understand you only need a teaspoon of it to to kill you :(
tutin poisoning is honeydew thats made when certain insects feed on the tutin plant and the bees feed on their excretions. tutin honey is ok, its just the sap of the plant which is poisonous.

from what i heard on the radio it was bought honey. it will be interesting to see if the paper work is in order and if its a professional beekeeper or not.
