651429 2008-03-22 05:21:00 That would be IE7 then.

That would be crappy information. As usual.

There was a story by someone on Engadget and they heard someone say "You can't get built in webcams unless you buy a Mac"

Let the brainwashing continue...

651430 2008-03-22 05:28:00 Something interesting from the NY Times:

But the phenomenon is particularly stark when it comes to opinionated reviews — however laudatory — of Apple products. That’s because many Apple fans “care little for honest opinion,” Mr. Manjoo writes. “They want to pick up the paper and see in it a reflection of their own nearly religious zeal for the thing they love. They don’t want a review. They want a hagiography.”

BTW, hagiography = A worshipful or idealizing biography.

Not really, they were just the first to do it and do it with style.

Yes with style. Sticking a camera in a laptop on top of the screen. Genius!!!

I guess I am right about the brainwashing. Style? I mean WTH is wrong with you?

Needing 2 buttons to right-click. Let me guess, sheer divine inspiration that one? More like sheer insane stupidity.

Define style please. I've only ever seen built-in web cams on computers done in one way and that is flush mounted above the LCD screen. What is different on the MAC? Or is it that when you look at the screen you see something completely different to what a normal person would see? > Some fancy as stuff up there instead of a web cam? I gotta say though, the software they give you with it is better. If thats what you mean then fair enough. I see people of all kinds are always playing with this feature, and I see in the new leopard webcam app, you can have it (try to) remove the background and instantly replace that with something else. Pretty cool feature there.

The age old 2 button mouse click debate. The answer to that one comes down to individual user preference.

651436 2008-03-22 20:15:00 Actually I don't possess any mice with only two buttons. However, for those whose physical or mental limits preclude multi-digit manipulation, it is nice to know there is an option, albeit an expensive one. R2x1 (4628)

most mac software is pretty good these days, but I remember when you COULD use a 3 or more button mouse with a mac, but most the software didn't do anything useful with the extra buttons.

I should have seen this coming when they started bundling itunes with quicktime. A lot of people started using itunes because it took over when they installed quicktime for something.

The current Mighty mouse is configurable to 4 buttons. I just use it as a one button mouse with keyboard shortcuts which is faster for me. To use a PC mouse just unplug your mac mouse and plug your PC mouse and your set.

What is or was the last version of OS X or Classic you used, Greven?
