652683 2008-03-30 01:59:00 ...EDIT: Why aren't the protests "peaceful"? Here's why: buddhism.kalachakranet.org T: Did you read that? Erayd (23)

buddhism.kalachakranet.org

My view is China should definitely just grant Tibet autonomy and p*** off. The recent events over there however is anyone's guess, the media's reporting of the situation (en.wikipedia.org) isn't a solid foundation to pass judgement.

(Some may consider linking to Wikipedia irony in this sense but of any online source, I'd ultimately trust a well cited Wikipedia article)

652687 2008-03-30 02:20:00 OK. Did you watched TV3's report on this issue? Did you observed those "Peacefull Protesters" burnt shops, destroyed properties, throwing rocks, etc at others? They are the so-called "Peacefull Protesters".

I mainly saw some guys getting stomped to the ground if anything. Peaceful protesting is just like fireproof matches, aint gonna happen.

652688 2008-03-30 02:44:00 Seems like any protest, peaceful or not, gets the same response from the so-called "Communist" authorities.
But who are we to question bkt's sources....Beijing is always correct.

Sweet Jesus! Are you saying Beijing isn't always correct? Please expect a knock on the door tonight.

Anyway, we're not putting words in your mouth. Thats what you're saying exactly anyway.

Its kindof hard to have a peaceful protest when you have soldiers dressed up as monks trying to create a spectacle for the imperialist, biased, bullying Western Media.

BTW, if Western media is so biased, why are they showing pics of "monks" attacking Chinese soldiers/people? Is it because they aren't actually biased and you cant see the truth?

Say whatever you like, you've the freedom of speech; and I've mine.

But it's getting very personal ... and it is not pleasant at all to be involved in a discussion where personal attacks start to emerge. I therefore decide to pull out.
