I agree with you that those peacefull protesters were treated well - because they were genuine peacefull protesters. But what if those 'peacefull protesters' burnt shops, cars, burnt and killed women and children? Do you still think that our police will still let them go? Which country on earth will allow such violent 'peacefull protest' to happen in their country without taking any action? |

The Chinese people from all over the world would be very thankfull if the West don't bully China! China has been bullied by the West left and right untill recently; and the West is still trying to bully. China is actually that powerful. Economically and militarily. "China has been bullied by the West.."? Yes, how dare the West condemn ruthless Chinese actions, mass human rights abuses and unfair economic policy. Maybe we should all be like you and just accept everything the Chinese Govt says as gospel and ignore all proof to the contrary. As an aside, did you sit your Gao Kao exams before you came? Were they hard? |

Were they hard? I would suggest you to spend more time in the library to study some basic Chinese History before make the above comments. If you know what the 'Opium War' (just a little example) was about, then probably we can discuss this issue in greater length. Otherwise, ... |

The Opium Wars lasted from 1839 to 1842 and 1856 to 1860 respectively. Right, so the only example you have goes back what, about 150 years? Yeah, some real present-day bullying by the West there. You know, India din't become independent till 1947 but you dont hear us going on about it. |
