794800 2009-07-24 05:15:00 I recently wanted to re-install Access from Office 97 Professional on my portable running XP & Office 2003. All legal fully paid up copies. Because of MS's "security" systems, I cannot. Notwithstanding having sold me all this software, they decline any responsibility for explaining why it fails to instal, and are totally unhelpful. My question is what can any customer do to encourage MS to meet its obligation that product it sells be, and continue to be, fit for its purpose. Their whole attitude seems to be take the money and run. JohnPearce (2114)
794801 2009-07-24 05:17:00 You probably cant if a later version of it is installed. BUT it looks like you can, if you install them in the right order (support.microsoft.com). Its the same for windows, you dont normally install the latest version, then decide to install an earlier version Speedy Gonzales (78)
