Another:

Brothels are quickly being shut down by Chinese authorities as part of their plans to clean up the capital just weeks/months ahead of the Olympics . Prostitutes from outlying provinces who came to the city to seek a higher salary are now forced to return home, flat on their backs .

"I worried I not find job to pay well . My family rely on me as I support them and my daughters are too young work with me . I still want go to Beijing because now that I'm out of a job my children, daughters not survive"

She is said to be investigating the possibility of entering an Olympic event of some sort as a contestant since she can no longer afford to buy tickets .

And "I guess I forgot to take my pill whoops!:

It seems that an Oregon man who had been a woman before undergoing a sex change is now preggo .

Thomas Beatie (the person of interest here) said he kept his female "down there" parts but had surgery to deconstruct his breasts, grow a beard, lower his voice and beef-up, had added HRT-testosterone to his diet and now has decided to have a child because his wife is non-gravid . (NZ= non-preggo) .

He/she stopped taking the sex-change HRT testosterone just for the next 9-months so he can surrogate for her .

Beatie formerly Miss Tracy LaGondino, s/he had owned a T-shirt design shop on Hotel Street, Honolulu, according to a local TV station there .

Some of Ms . /Mr . Beatie's neighbors say they believe the pregnancy is a hoax and a product of Photoshop editing .

The photograph in The Advocate (GLBT Newspaper) shows what appears to be a visibly pregnant man is evidence to the contrary, others say .

"Quite frankly, I think it's a hoax . I saw him (sic) a few days ago and he didn't look like that", said neighbor Ron Schlieper in reference to the newspaper pix . "He (sic) was walking down the street with who (sic) I thought was his (sic) wife, Nancy, and I don't recall seeing a belly if that was a month ago . He (sic) would have been much bigger just a few days ago" .

In his article, Beatie said s/he plans to be his daughter's mother's significant other in terms of family role, while his wife will be the other mother .

Ah, yes! Good ol' family values!

And finally, here's spit in yer eye:

A Texas man is charged with selling liquor without a license after he was found peddling bottles of vodka containing dead baby rattlesnakes .

Running "Bayou Bob's Brazos River Rattlesnake Ranch" tourist attraction west of Fort Worth, Bob Popplewell was believed to be selling the vodka to the Asian community, where snakes are seen having aphrodisiac properties, state authorities said . "One bite can make you (a) stiff" is the motto on the label .

Facing misdemeanor charges for not having a liquor license he will not however be charged for having the 10-inch (25-cm) baby snakes in the bottles . Authorities could not disprove his claim that he found them dead on the highway .

Confiscating 400+ cases of the bottled vodka, authorities said Popplewell was selling them for $23/fifth .

Popplewell, having no comment, then went on to the "Rattlesnake Round-Up" show where he performs to mostly Oriental, stand-up crowds during the weekend .

He is also the state's largest exporter of live turtles to Asia, having discontinued his shark fin exporting for which he spent a few months in jail .

654023 2008-03-29 17:13:00 That's one very lost polar bear (obviously tired from his long walk/swim from the Arctic)! Or maybe the penguins have used their Air Miles to visit the far North to taunt the natives....??

Olympic Event!! As much as that could be a big crowd puller (of a mainly male audience*), I don't think that her area of expertise will ever make it to the Olympics - even as a demonstration sport!

*Why is it called an audience when people are watching? Shouldn't it be a "Vidience"??? "Audience" implies hearing, which of course is part of the experience, but something like the Olympics is more of a visual experience....
