795564 2009-07-27 03:31:00 It's almost time to upgrade...got a Thermaltake Kandalf case at the moment with water cooling...not a bad case, doesn't work all that well space-wise with two graphics cards and the water pump fighting for space though.

I'm considering a case upgrade, bit of a pain cause the Kandalf is worth bugger all now.

Is one of the Silverstone TJ series cases still the ones to go for?

Was looking at a TJ10. An E-ATX case looks like the way to go, especially with having to fit 2 graphics cards in there.

What's your thoughts? :)

Won't a case make it difficult to pipe in the liquid nitrogen?

795566 2009-07-27 04:55:00 I have a TJ09 myself, which is not too different from a TJ10. I would say it's very spacious. Have a little bit of planning and wiring can be done quite neatly. My only complaint about it is the lack of dust filter. Because of this the case does accumulate dust a tad faster than I'd like.

I have an Antec P182 with modded side window if you're interested Wratty. Though you might not as you probably want a larger case.

795567 2009-07-27 04:57:00 Anything aluminium is definitely the way to go - if I had my time (and money) again I'd go for aluminium - better cooling and so much easier to move around, pull out of under the desk, lie on its side to work on etc. Deane F (8204)
795568 2009-07-27 04:59:00 Aluminium......mmmm. Pity most of them are so boring.

I like cases with proper cable management but never get one as looks win.

Thus most of mine have been steel with no real cable management.

Never had a problem with cooling as they are always roomy and have either plenty of case fans or I add them.

 If only :dogeye:

I share Pc's sentiment about aluminum cases, I want something that is functional and easy to cool but looks good preferably with a window and plenty of space for lights and LED fans. :D

Thanks for the offer - I almost bought the P182 as my last case, but decided on a bigger one. Interesting about the dust - My Thermaltake has dust filters on all the intakes and they pick up a frightening amount of dust. Good info, thanks. :)

795570 2009-07-27 05:14:00 My all time favourit case manufacturur is Lian Li
Ahhhhhh (www.lian-li.com)
After that Silverstone, TJ9 or 10.......
After that Antec 1200....

Thing is with a quality case you can keep it for a life time.....well almost!

795571 2009-07-27 05:28:00 OK so now I want the PC-X2000B. :D

The PC-V2010B looks very nice, would like to put a window in though.

The Antec 1200 looks great for the $$$, almost makes the Lian Li seem overpriced, I have no doubts about the quality of the Lian Li though, I know they make good stuff.

795572 2009-07-27 05:46:00 Looks like a TJ09 or TJ10 or the Antec 1200 would be the case I'd get if I was to upgrade, which I think I will...

Thanks for the info guys and gals.

795573 2009-07-27 06:24:00 The TJ 9\10 is about $400, sane for the 1200, $560 for the dream case!....you wouldnt balk if it was the graphic card, and good cases last longer....I have built 3 of the V2000 series, all lovely jubbly!
My current case was about $380 over 4 yrs ago, I am on my 3rd build with it!
