653965 2008-03-31 00:26:00 LOL the price of milk and cheese in NZ is a rip off, you are being RIPPED OFF blindly. how can they claim it is following overseas prices? I can buy NZ cheese here in Australia CHEAPER than you can in NZ where the damn stuff is made.

You can't tell me it costs more to put the product in an NZ store than it does to ship it overseas and take the exchange rate hit etc.

and people wonder why I laugh at them when they try to claim the cost of living in NZ is less.

You haven't read my post fully. Overhead costs a borne by us silly Kiwis'.

You can also buy canned peaches far cheaper in Scotland than here.

Lurking.

That's a fair way to travel. I wonder how many cans you'd have to buy to make it worth while?

While in Singapore I bought an NZ made foot spray for $7.50. In NZ, the same foot spray costs almost $12. Your thoughts, please if any.

It sells more in Singapore because everyone over there has smelly feet.

That shows the efficiency of the local (NZ) retailer chain. They can make the same profit from the sale of a single can as an Asian shopkeeper will from 50 cans. Think of the reduction in waste and pollution, not to mention the savings in airfares.

653974 2008-04-14 03:09:00 Well, allowing for the fact that they have to pay a fair amount of freight to get the stuff to Singapore, it should be close enough. (Done with difficulty due to only 10 fingers + thumbs here) R2x1 (4628)
