I can buy NZ cheese here in Australia CHEAPER than you can in NZ where the damn stuff is made. You can't tell me it costs more to put the product in an NZ store than it does to ship it overseas and take the exchange rate hit etc. and people wonder why I laugh at them when they try to claim the cost of living in NZ is less. You haven't read my post fully. Overhead costs a borne by us silly Kiwis'. You can also buy canned peaches far cheaper in Scotland than here. Lurking. |

They can make the same profit from the sale of a single can as an Asian shopkeeper will from 50 cans. Think of the reduction in waste and pollution, not to mention the savings in airfares. |
