652528 2008-03-26 05:07:00 Oh, thought you meant you're getting a 9800GX2.

Still, wouldn't mind you sending me an 8800GTS. :D

652529 2008-03-26 06:09:00 PCtek, is that the G92 GTS or just the G80?

My understanding of the dual gpu single board is that SLI config settings are no longer relevant.

Anyway, I gave up of the PS2, its just wrong playing on the TV even a plasma with the maxshooter keyboard\mice adapter, response is too slow.
So, we should have the 2nd house ready for sale by 30th Apr and I have finally been given the go ahead for an upgrade to the below system. (can you believe the Zeus 650w gave up the other day, lucky warranty will replace so going with the OP650).

Have 1650x1080 WS, so hoping ASUS 8800GT, G0 Q6600 with ASUS P5KC and 2Gb of 1066 Dominator will keep my going for another 3 yrs. I havent been able to game for a whole year now!......Cant wait to try out some of the new games.....

652530 2008-03-26 09:09:00 Hmmm, in case you all didn't get that, I got the 2nd 8800GTS . For SLI .

Stuff the 9800 . Not worth its inflated price .

Husband was not excited, in fact quite the opposite, had a small argument this morning about it .

Whatever, its my birthday next month so I've saved him the bother haven't I .

:clap
Not April 1st i hope! He He . Mark it on the calander for him . :)

G92 of course.
I sold my GTX for that. Got change too. So add another = 2 8800GTS's (G92), thats why I posted the benchmark. It beats the 9800, except Crysis and the difference was minor.

Not to mention I sold Crysis anyway.

2 GTSs was a lot cheaper than 1 9800.

Nope, you still need a SLI board to run a 9800gx2.

And what 2nd house?

652532 2008-03-28 02:43:00 Hi pctek, I didnt mean SLI config re installation, but driver issues. Dual card setup have always irked me due to driver issues on various games.

I dont know who told you you need a SLI board for the 9800GX2, but whoever did was wrong.

And the 2nd house is my wife's which we are renovating to sell. I have been given the green light to upgrade after its sells, so I'm pretty happy as the below box is well passed it.

Ring? Tell her diamonds value are artifically inflated. Waste of money. At least you get to play with new hardware.....
