I do not have any affiliation with the National geographic.
The National Geographic is going all over the world sampling peoples DNA with a grant. They pick the folks that have lived in their area for many generations. They use NO NAMES in their study. They then put this in their data base. The samples are collected with a simple cheek swab.
People can then have their DNA tested and get compared to samples from all over the world. When this is completed you should be able to tell town/country where you came from. The test is called a SNP and is under $100.00. darroll

654103 2008-03-30 05:40:00 I found that very interesting also. I did it and We came from England. Further testing in England is being done. Hoping to find a city. We pulled way back on genealogy as there are so many errors. We have extensive family records and that is where we noticed all the errors. Our family said we are from Scotland, waiting for DNA testing to show that. DNA will eventually settle that, one can’t argue with DNA.
I live south of Portland. We have had snow, hail, rain for about a week now.
It must be about time to wake up the global warming crazy theories again?

Cant remember what make it is, but its a red car- the kid asks his dad " where did I come from" and it goes through the errrr processes, very well done if you watch it close - the kids answer " Thats cool because jimmy johnson only comes from Scotland"
