796080 2009-07-29 08:04:00 I am not too happy with the company we currently use to send out our email campaigns and am looking around for alternatives. Who would you guys recommend?

I've had a look at mailchimp.com which looks pretty good, but it would be great to have some comparisons.

In terms of volume, we would send maybe 1-2 emails a month to a list of around 3,000.

Interested in hearing your comments folks :)

Thanks!
Susan

796081 2009-07-29 08:16:00 Have a chat with Manas from Genesis Interactive about MaxMail. They offer a free trial and training where required for how to get the most outta it (But its pretty easy to use).
Tell him Josiah referred you :) (I don't get anything from it, but I know him...)

796082 2009-07-29 08:20:00 When you say "email marketing", do you mean sending emails to your own customer lists? Or are you wanting to target new customers with email campaigns? somebody (208)
796083 2009-07-29 08:48:00 thanks Chilling :)

somebody - we have our own customer list which we've had for a couple of years, just wanting to send to our existing list but using a different email delivery system.

That's good :) I've been at the receiving end of several NZ businesses wanting to sell me things lately - in their case, they've sourced my email address from illegitimate sources.

Surely, only if they don't want it? PJ

796087 2009-07-29 18:30:00 Re it's all spam. I half agree.

I get regular emails for something to purchase by my brother-in-law.

There's usually the option to opt-out. So if its a business with decent ethics then I wouldn't complain.

Yup - I have no objections to companies sending me "newsletters" which I have agreed to receive (which seems to be the case of susann). It's the ones who go out and buy email lists and start sending spam, thinking they can get away with it that really irritate me.

796089 2009-07-30 10:50:00 Um, so I seem to have started a spam debate ;-)
But any other comments about who you use, or what system you use, for your email campaigns would be really helpful guys...
