| 796649 | 2009-07-30 18:53:00 | I have the same issue with HP dv9205US. After I press esc and choose notebook drive it boots up fine. I installed the new BIOS update and still the issue persists. Any help please. Also my DVD drive is not recognized and the wireless gets recognized once in a while. [Moderator edit: This post was moved from this thread (forums.pcworld.co.nz). | 796650 | 2009-07-30 19:20:00 | I have a HP dv9205US with Vista installed . Whenever it is turned on or rebooted before it boots the speaker sounds a repetitive beeping and on screen the message is something like: press Esc to change boot sequence press F10 to enter setup I have gone into the bios setup and the changed the boot sequence to have the CD ROM AT Top, notebook hard drive Second . . saved and exited yet the beeping remains . I also noticed in the main section of the BIOS my Drives are not listed (Hard Drive nor CD Rom drive) . when I press Esc you are asked to change the boot sequence and the only option is Notebook hard drive, you hit enter and it boots up fine . Any ideas why its not automatically selecting the hard drive? Going back into the bios the hard drive remains saved at the top . Also my DVD drive is not recognized and the wireless gets recognized only once in a while . I installed the latest BIOS version from HP and still the problem exists . Any help suggestions on this is appreciated . |
