| 655106 | 2008-04-03 19:26:00 | Thanks for that GF. However, I'm having trouble sourcing genuine Sanyo's. Can anyone advise on the Camilion brand which I've seen claimed a Sanyo's re-branded? Also, what price should we be looking at per cell? $5 each at Dick Smiths: www.dse.co.nz Energizers are $7 each and DSE brand is a bit less than $5. Enloops may not have the same capacity (2500 mAh) - I am not sure - but remember that regular NiMh batteries will lose capacity significantly after a week or so, especially if they are old. |

| 655107 | 2008-04-03 19:35:00 | I have recently purchased 2 Camelion packs that are an extreme disappointment in their advertised application (model R/C car) They are incapable of taking a full charge at anything above the .2 C rate. Their discharge capabilities are also very limited, 4 Amps is stretching the friendship, causing overheating and voltage drop on discharge. The individual cells are ill matched, and even the best are low quality. This is not a brand I will ever try again. (If they are re-badged Sanyo cells, they must be very old ones indeed.) |

| 655111 | 2008-04-05 04:35:00 | I purchased a DSE NiMH charger and batteries from Mr DSE and like you, was rather alarmed to touch them and nearly burnt myself. I went back to see Mr DSE and he said that was "normal". I've gone through about 3 cycles so far and other than getting hot, they are fine. I think I will steal the fan idea (I have enough 12V fans here!!) | dolby digital (5073) | ||
