2008-04-07 03:18:00 | Sounds as though it's just too difficult.:horrified How sad. And I thought there were some perspicacious f1 people out there? I hope I'm not mistaken. It is too difficult. I thought I'd have a go but, for a start, it took more than 10 seconds for the page to display. Most people give up after about 5 seconds. Then it said something about access denied. :D

2008-04-07 03:29:00 | Does that mean you only have dial up? How quaint. Or is it just to difficult? "Quaint?" First time I've heard it described that way. I expect there are quite a few of us here who didn't realise our Dialup was the standard for quaintness..?

2008-04-07 04:46:00 | Download the mp3 file called anyideas.mp3 - 622MB. Any idea who it might be, where they were and what they were doing? www.mediamax.com Does that mean you only have dial up? How quaint. Think you need to be more realistic with your expectations. How about editing your 600+ MB MP3 to say a 2-3 MB snippet and maybe then you will get some takers?

2008-04-07 10:02:00 | Sorry, but who in their right mind would waste possibly hours downloading a large file that they don't even want to keep, especially when some are on restricted datacaps? Can't imagine why it would take hours to download when it only took me about five minutes to upload. There is one other file that I have uploaded to that site (nothing to do with the present topic) that is 28MB which did not take hours to upload, either. It took half an hour. My experience has been that it takes approximately the same amount of time to upload or download an audio file as it takes to play it in real time. The file in question should not take any more than five minutes even on NZs slow broadband. But not to worry. It is obviously too much trouble for anyone to contemplate so delete the thread at your leisure.

You can easily get operating systems the same size. Did you mean it was 620KB and not MB? I think you are being very harsh with your comments/attitude considering the size you stated the file was. I'm on full speed ADSL for downstream. It would take me maybe 6-8 HOURS to download a file that size. |

2008-04-07 10:41:00 | You're correct. Sorry, Jen. Had my Kb and Mb mixed up. it should have read Kb. The audio track, as I said, is only about one and a half minutes long. Is that what gave you the clue? Nevertheless, I did think that there may have been at least one person up for the challenge. Not to worry.
