655688 2008-04-03 20:49:00 Possession of these noise amplifiers for the purposes of supply could well involve a treatment involving a couple of bricks too. Hammer the traffickers without mercy.

Have always been a fan of the IRA way of dispensing justice. Hard to drive with no kneecaps.:D

655690 2008-04-03 21:02:00 Two cars in the family, standard exhausts. No problems, no intentions of changing any exhaust.

That out of the way - I was amazed at how long exhausts last in NZ - in the good old days (15 yrs ago in SA) a brand new exhaust would rust through within 2-4 yrs. Here - I've never experienced any problems with an exhaust, ever. Must be a different kind of material (although I don't know - aren't they all made in the same factory in China?)

The Americans' use much lower octane fuel, it doesn't burn as cleanly.

That's the reason as far as I'm aware. Ask SJ he'll know for sure.

Ahh yes, they are a very nice car. Look great, too.

I actually did a service on my Bluie last night - air filter, fuel filter and oil change/filter. No liquids needed topping up, and it hadn't used any oil for 12,000km. I'm happy with it.

655695 2008-04-03 22:01:00 Theory. The diameter of the exhaust is inversly proportional to the size of the owners tackle.
OK we have got some(not a lot) sanity in the noisy exhaust, now how to cure the offensive, invasive "boom box" problem
