| 797472 | 2009-08-02 22:48:00 | Hi there, I am looking for a new external hdd. I saw this one and it looked pretty decent but it had one flaw.........despite being eSata usuable, the Western Digital HDD didn't provide it with a eSata cable to plug it from HDD to my laptop. www.wdc.com I am extremely disappointed now that I have to buy my own cable. It supplies for firewire, but not for eSata. :groan: Does retailers like Dicksmith Electronics sell eSata Cables? If not, where do I buy them? :thanks |

| 797478 | 2009-08-02 23:06:00 | Nope, have not used it myself, scroll down to the table (en.wikipedia.org) below... | ronyville (10611) | ||

| 797480 | 2009-08-02 23:10:00 | eSATA is exactly the same as SATA, except its external. The bottleneck would be the actual hard drive, its unlikely that the actual transfer speed will get anywhere near 3gb/s |
