(lounge, bedroom, deck) The idea is to have a laptop transmitting to a wireless router which would then transmit to a set of speakers in one of these locations. In other words have each ot the sets of speakers on the network. | 797254 | 2009-08-03 22:41:00 | Hi bugalugs67 Here's how I do it. Same result, cheap, effective but not quite what you want. Get hold of a Belkin Tunecast II FM Transmitter. Now go HERE (www.instructables.com) to mod it. There where many similar versions produced, all can be souped up the same way. Now you have a good quality FM Transmitter that can be plugged into your laptop headphone plug. It will also send the signal up to approximately 10 - 12 metres from the lappie. This is more than enough for a home situation. Now simply connect your speakers to a good quality stereo tuner and amp. Tune in - simple. Repeat as necessary. Considering how cheap this is, it is amazing effective. Not suggesting it is for audio freaks with a sensitive ear but if you are playing mp3's then you are not one of those anyway. There are other advantages too. Working on the car, no problem, listen to your music on the car stereo. Got a barbie going? Grab the old ghetto blaster and you have music outside. Got an old stereo in the shed? Then you can have your music there too. BURNZEE |
