799059 2009-08-07 07:44:00 Hi there

Does anyone know of a basic program that can be used to scan a image and crop unwanted canvas then compress it so it can be emailed. also it needs to be very lightweight. this is for my 58year old grand parents.

thanks.

799061 2009-08-07 09:26:00 Since Windows 95 days I have used LViewPro 1.D/32 as a cheap and cheerful graphics program for capture and simple editing, also viewing of course. It works well in WinXP, and has a very small footprint. All the files are installed into its own folder on the C:\ drive (or where you want to put them). It doesn't drop dlls or detrius anywhere else.

It has a resizing feature, but so has XP for re-sizing pics for emailing.

Google said it is available as a download from here:
www.wcoil.com Just scroll down a bit to find it. Its only 461KB download size, about the smallest graphics program you will ever find.

It may be worth looking at.
