Was interested in buying a SSD... is it really worth $500 for one? How much speed will i gain from a normal sata hard drive?

798462 2009-08-05 10:40:00 I would say it's not worth it yet, especially if it's storage you're looking for. For normal everyday use it your SATA drive will not slow you down.

And for $500 you can get a 64gb SSD or a 2TB SATA heh

I wouldn't actually know the speed difference as I haven't got an SSD.

But OCZ are lauching a new faster range. Wait till they come out, as prices should fall a bit when they do.
