Pack your bags and leave the place to the politicians and bureaucrats, then sit and watch when there is nobody to pay their wages. New Zealand would be the most over governed democracy in the world and boy does it show. The forthcoming election is a non event because it will still be the same 120 with their noses in the trough and only the pecking order will change. Sad but true! |

Now I have nothing against the Indian People, however they are just too frustating to understand, there has been heaps of comments about this yet neither of them care enough to move the helpdesk to western countries $#&&#, just had Malaysia marketing on the phone, couldnt understand them either....... ANZ is transferring the backbone processing to India, not their help desk. I'm not happy with that, they don't have the privacy laws that New Zealand and Australia have, so I'm going to become a ex customer. |

| 659936 | 2008-04-18 10:16:00 | How do VERY high wage manufacturing countries like Germany and Italy get on? I have heard that some Chinese companies are relocating to Vietnam where labour is cheaper. Uganda anyone ? Nigeria ? Isn't F&P moving more jobs to Italy? If Italy is a higher wage economy, it makes me think the reason they are doing this is to make the company more attractive to potential buyers who also operate in those areas, making it ripe for a takeover. F&P did by Italian brand Elba, and now we are getting F&P's cheaper low grade products renamed as Elba here. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up becoming another Navman. That would be sad if that happens, but they are obviulsy doing it to get the most money for their shareholders. |

| 659937 | 2008-04-18 12:05:00 | Do F&P have any manufacturing in Europe? If not, the move into Italy could be a way into the EEC. Lots of Japanese and S. Korean manufacturers have done that. Btw, what could the NZ govt. do? Don't say lower interest rates and bring down the exchange rate. Thats not in the Govts. hands anymore. its a Reserve Bank decision. Martynz |

I wish the government could be more pro-active instead of waiting for things to fall apart first before considering action. On hind sight, I am not sure they know what to do. They want us all to be part of nanny state. |

| 659942 | 2008-04-18 21:03:00 | Just another example of NZ Manufacturers trying to force wages down. "If kiwis won't work for peanuts, we'll shift overseas" seems to be their latest slogan. It will be very interesting to see what the price of F & P products will be here when they are made in Mexico or Tailand. Just as my own little protest I will not be buying anything made by F & P. |
