2008-04-15 09:07:00 | If you want something customizable, here's an idea: Buy a PC. The customizable aspect is only half the issue in this case (and yes I agree with you 100% beeswax) - it would seem that a reasonable proportion of tech knowledgeable PC users (in the US at least) also want that PC to come with Leopard as standard rather than XP or Vista. Judging by the fact that the site went down due to traffic overload earlier today I would say that there is more than a fair bit of interest. I am just waiting to see what Apple does as I think that the pending developments on the iPhone platform may make this issue a moot point especially where price and gaming/software options come into it. Its about nothing. Just a crappy computer. amazing how they don't look so "special" when they don't have the label and aren't asking 4 times its worth. When you don't care about hardware design - that is what you get. When you do care about it, you get loads of free press ;) www.forbes.com

2008-04-15 09:12:00 | The site went down because it was featured on Slashdot, Not because people are so mad keen to run leopard. Just about every site featured on Slashdot "goes down" for a few hours...... And I'll have to admit I have no idea what you are talking about with the rest of the gibberish, But I'm presuming that's just because its gibberish.

2008-04-16 05:00:00 | Mac OS-X Leopard runs fine on a PC if the PC specs are right. I installed it on a HDD here and about 90% of it worked. More of a "does it work" rather than as a useful OS though. wiki.osx86project.org forum.insanelymac.com

Looks like 10.5.3 might be going to fix a few more issues in 10.5.2, I'm still on 10.4.11 |

2008-04-16 09:22:00 | But I hate having only one colour choice White..... Not quite - the current MacBooks are white or black although the new ones due out shortly will be aluminum as are the iMacs, MBP, MBA and the Mac Pro tower - why? Its about aesthetics and consistency. Why aluminum? Recyclable. Nothing illegal about building a PC that uses OSX-compatible hardware... Correct - nothing illegal at all. However installing OS X on non Mac hardware breaks the EULA with Apple.
