799838 2009-08-09 22:44:00 I need to upload weather information to my web page regularly which means leaving my pc on 24/7.
Is there a small low power computer setup that will do that instead of my pc?
Thanks.

Or, use a router compatible with Oleg or Linux firmware(such as the Asus WL-520GU) and write a custom script...but that would be the harder way.

Easier way would be to do a cheap Atom build for less that $400....but it would be overkill for what you need..

799841 2009-08-10 00:13:00 The Alix blam6 mentioned is nice, REAL low-power and real low-spec too ...
However I've gotta go with nedkelly here, contact William from ProCase, he's always a great help. Ask him to price you up their Foxconn fanless Atom board with a CS5677 and other bits n pieces such as RAM / HDD. Provided you've got a drive you can whack in there temporarily during OS setup, you'll be good as gold!
