It's free, and last time I checked (a while ago), it supports ED2K, Torrents, and Guntella 1 and 2. Oh, and it's open-source too. ubergeek85 (131)

660356 2009-05-07 02:38:00 Some freeware that I use and trying out...

Q-Dir: Multi-pane file explorer that allows you to arrange up to 4 separate panes, but retaining standard Explorer features.

Tux Paint: Interactive paint program for kids. Nice and simple with a lot of text customizations.

Core FTP light Edition: I use for web uploads - quick and simple.

Slice Audio File Splitter: To split up MP3 into near equal file sizes, or of the same time segments.

The Godfather MP3 Organizer (v 0.7 free): MP3 tagging/management system.

F Cleaner: See how it compares to CCleaner,

and D cleaner...

660359 2009-07-06 00:05:00 1. Similarity MP3 duplicate finder (pcsourcepoint.blogspot.com) (my review) - a nice easy to use MP3 duplicate (or near duplicate) finder. Has sensitivity settings.
2. vloud (online service) to increase volume of MP3's.
3. FreeDBGrabber to download audio information for artists, albums, etc.
4. MP3 Repair Tool - To help repair MP3's based on a corrupt header.
5. Boxee - A social media centre.

660360 2009-07-14 22:08:00 KeyScrambler Personal - as a Firefox Addon (addons.mozilla.org) or separate program from PCWorld (www.pcworld.com).

PCWorld page:
"This add-in to Internet Explorer and Firefox promises a simple way to keep you safe. As you type in your password, KeyScrambler Personal scrambles it so that the information sent out over the Internet doesn't match what you type. That way, someone won't be able to steal your private information. "

FF Addon page:

"Starting with version 2.0, KeyScrambler protects everything you type into Firefox, including:

* All login forms and dialogs, online shopping, webmail, forums, and more
* The Firefox master password dialog
* URL and search bar
* Other Firefox add-ons and toolbars like RoboForm, Chatzilla, and Sxipper."

660361 2009-07-14 23:59:00 Just came across Autorun Eater last night (http://oldmcdonald.wordpress.com/) it runs in the taskbar, and is meant to pick up virus ridden (or autorun.inf files with code pointing to malware) on removable devices / USB flash drives etc. There are some pretty positive reviews about it on the net

I think it also scans in the background. It looks like it can also pick up malware (from the recycler folder)

660362 2009-07-28 01:45:00 Wizmo's. (www.grc.com)

"Wizmo is an odd little beast--- part monitor manager, part screen saver, part shutdown/reboot tool. Those last functions are actually the ones that interested me the most, as they provide a free way to perform scheduled restarts of Windows XP; useful for performing automatic maintenance that must take place outside the normal operating system. ... Even if you only find one useful element in Wizmo, it's worth grabbing--- and odds are you'll find more than one thing about it you'll like."
