661343 2008-04-22 21:17:00 Hi Team

After another lengthy but fruitless search, I again seek the assistance of experts. As above, I want to know how long it takes to fly to New Delhi from Auckland (it is a direct flight I believe) and how many km it is.

No, I am not emigrating, I just want a nice Indian takeaway.

Cheers

You should buy yourself MS Flight Simulator. You create a Flight Plan from Auckland to New Delhi Select type of aircraft you want to fly in, then you bring up the flight plan and it well till you the distance and time the flight well take, even the amount of fuel you well use so you can work out your carbon foot print.

You could even fly back with a simulated curry, even from Madras, then have a simulated curry party to eat it. :stare:

661348 2008-04-23 11:44:00 I don't think he is going, from what was said. After all he would get that info on booking his seat.

What a sceptic you are Ciccy, actually I am almost certainly going, I have been asked to do a job there and I was wanting to get an idea of the travel time for charging purposes. Looks like it is 15+ hours each way, flight only, so 18-20 hours in reality. It also seems that Malaysian Airlines does a direct flight AKL-DLH.

I've been there before many years ago and got Delhi belly. It actually took nearly 6 months to recover fully so I'm not overly keen, but money is money.

If you can't trust the bottled water you might as well do a Ghandi and drink your own, at least you know where it's been. You run a similar risk having a shower if you get water in or around your mouth so it is a risky business all-round.

Thanks to all for the help, I got the info I needed.

Cheers
