661932 2008-04-23 10:02:00 IMO, the very best way to find out value of something on TM is to put it up on $1 reserve. Deathwish (143)

Sounds like the computer I got in 2000-01. Therefore it probably isn't worth anything. Is it a legal version of photoshop 7, as that is a good version, but would probably struggle on that computer. Probably worth $100 if it is a legal version of software, otherwise the computer isn't worth anything, and even less if they want you to take the monitor. However it is probably an ok student computer for wordprocessing.

661935 2008-04-23 10:30:00 You will have a hard time selling it with a 15" monitor. Do you have an under $50 section in the classifieds section of your local newspaper? If you place an ad saying you want a free 17" monitor then you might just get one & it will make the computer a lot easier to sell (as long as it doesn't need shipped anywhere - then you are better off just ditching the monitor)

You still wouldn't get more than $200 for it though.

661936 2008-04-23 11:18:00 If you were selling it on Trademe, it wouldn't be worthwhile trying to post a 15" CRT. Perhaps offer the 15"CRT free if sold locally and they are picking it up.

If you sell it fully updated with patches, AV and anti-malware applications it may look more attractive. It is perfectly fine for internet, email and office applications.

At a guess, I would say around $100-120 as it has 512MB of RAM and a DVD-ROM, however it is worth as much as someone else is prepared to pay for it.
Jen (38)
661937 2008-04-23 13:01:00 $80-110 or so without the 15" CRT monitor. As Jen has suggested, say "free 15" monitor available if picking up" or something.

If you set a higher price (say $150) and write a good ad you may get lucky and have some unsuspecting person come and hit Buy Now, but don't count on it.
