As a die-hard pivot table user, the new design is great, and once you get used to the ribbon, it really is quite intuitive. Good work Microsoft!! (Jeez, can't believe I just said that!!) :D I've also noticed that the new. xlsx format is really small - is this due to it being XML? Who else has taken the plunge? |

I've been using it for some time, and found it to be fantastic (once you get used to the ribbon). I'm told that the change in file size is because the old format was optimised for being read off floppy disks, which meant that certain "parts" of the file had to be in a certain order etc. which added overheads. |

| 662104 | 2008-04-24 11:23:00 | Yep I like it as well, so do any of the people I've sold it to, I often hear the comments at first - OH GOD what's that - Yuck - then a week later comments about how ugly and unuser friendly Pre 2007 is. I personally jump between 2003 and 2007, depending on what PC I'm on - preference is 2007. Good work Microsoft!! (Jeez, can't believe I just said that!!) make a mental note - one day that will come back to bite ya! :lol: |
