663432 2008-04-30 12:03:00 At the end of the day, If there was no special payments for having children, More people would use birth control.

Hell, If I got a guaranteed pay rise every time the wife pushed out another one we would probably have eight kids, and a giant housed to keep them in.

I think it is terrible that young people can't live in Grey Lynn any more - I think we should put taxes up so that they can live in style and have ten kids as well. If it isn't Labour policy already - it surely will be soon.

663434 2008-04-30 19:21:00 I say get rid of all benefits (except the pension as we all get old)

This would allow a MAJOR reduction in taxes for every one, so that there would be a lot more money and jobs around.

And give good tax rebates for donations to charities that look after people in real need.

663436 2008-04-30 21:34:00 Yes Vile. You 'mite' deduce that. My parents, in their 70's are on a state funded pension. After a lifetime of paying taxes they're entitled to a bit of a thankyou from Government. It's hardly called a rip-off.

I'd like to suggest to you to go and .... y......f before you sprout any more retarded dribble.

I deduce a lot of things gweg. Pension does not compare to a benefit, its the governments pathetic way of saying "thanks for your lifetime of taxpaying, take a miniscule amount back to survive on till you kark it". Then again, perhaps your parents were on a benefit prior to their pension, in which case, yes it is a rip off...

I enjoy spouting retarded dribble, if only to wind you up, which is not very difficult at all. My opinion like everyone else, is more than welcome on this forum, is it not?

663438 2008-04-30 22:27:00 When someone gets cancer from smoking and goes to the public health board, who do you think pays for his/her colossal treatment?

1 carton of cigarettes - $102.95
Tax on them - $64.05

I think that covers the doctors bill.

Wow, are they that much. How do people afford them? No wonder they can not feed themselves or their kids properly.
