| 800420 | 2009-08-13 07:40:00 | OK believe it or not doing this for a customers stuffed Thunderbird :D Heres how step by step. Create two folders, the Transfer one and another call it new New Mail ( for these instructions). Go to the original Thunderbird store folder, copy everything to Transfer. Close TB - open the IMAPsize - click tools / mbox2eml Click Big button- Select mbox files to convert. Navigate to the Transfer folder, in the "types of files" select All Files. Select the ones you want - there will be two of each, select the file ( inbox) WITHOUT anything after it, the other will have .msf - click Open. Down the bottom of IMAPsize - hit the browse Square - navigate to the other folder, New Mail ( this is where the converted will go) Hit the Convert Button - you will see all the selected mails converting ( bottom right hand corner of the window. -- Close IMAPsize. Open Outlook Express - Minimize it, open the New Mail folder - open Inbox Folder - maximize OE- now the tricky bit, make sure you can see both the Inbox in OE & the New Mail folder ( this is where a wide screen will be handy) depending on how many mails you have in the New folder, select them all. Drag the selected mails into the OE inbox, they will appear instantly. repeat for all mails required. Heres what I mean (www.imagef1.net.nz) By both open, overlaying each other. Its a test pic I made to post here. Once done - close OE - Open Outlook - import from OE --- Done. |

| 800424 | 2009-08-13 21:19:00 | just wanted to say that i have managed to retrieve and export from t.bird to outlook via OE all my mail and addresses.. thanks very much wainuitech....there were a lot of files 40 or more and a few thousand emails... was seriously scratching my head over this problem and thinking i would have to get a tech in to assist...but WT came through with excellent detail...nice |
