800993 2009-08-14 07:22:00 Hey is there a free program that will record in the background what programs were opened at what time and by who? nedkelly (9059)
800994 2009-08-14 07:43:00 Keylogger? Blam (54)
800995 2009-08-14 07:50:00 does that show what program they opened or just the keys they pushed? nedkelly (9059)
800996 2009-08-14 07:52:00 Some show what they click as well..so you would know what program they clicked.. Blam (54)
800997 2009-08-14 08:07:00 Or event viewer. You cant get anything more free than that :p Speedy Gonzales (78)
800998 2009-08-14 09:22:00 Trouble with key logging / some recording software is most antivirus and antispyware programs will detect them as infections since they do the same process as malware that captures peoples details illegally. ;)

Edit: is the program required to monitor what someone is doing when they are not meant to, or for making a tutorial for example - Eg They know its running?

AND what OS.

These are not keyloggers - but its more than sure you would know they are running -- NCH Screen Recorder (www.nchsoftware.com) and Auto Screen recorder (www.canadiancontent.net)

800999 2009-08-14 09:49:00 Yeah but does event viewer show what programs were opened?
SP Home SP2, yeah that would be good to see what they are doing in real time.
Would not like them to know its running cause the account that has to be used to run this game is the admin account.

801000 2009-08-14 09:53:00 Well if you have to do this, whoever youre trying to record, dont let them on it. Simple. Or find an external keylogger, you can plug in.

Then whatever program wont detect it, just hope noone looks for one and finds it :p

801001 2009-08-14 09:59:00 have to let them on cause they like to play the game and as I said it only works on admin does not like his limited account. And run as admin does not work. nedkelly (9059)
801002 2009-08-14 10:36:00 Yeah but does event viewer show what programs were opened?

Kind of...its supposed to log in an extry when a program successfully opens...but doesn't really seem to all the time
