664423 2008-04-30 10:37:00 I've been a long-time National Bank customer, and have held a Thoroughbred Visa card for a number of years.

I came across this product today: www.nbnz.co.nz which offers an extended warranty on large-ticket products you buy using this card (e.g. computers and what-not).

Has anyone had experience with this before? Is it possible to have this card without cancelling my existing Thoroughbred Visa?

I want real people's opinions, not the bank's marketing spiel.

I have both a Freestyle & Thoroughbred card with no problems. It came in handy in the US recently when my Visa wasn't accepted, but the MasterCard was :)

I've not had any experience with the warranty thing though. I don't think anything i've bought on the MC has had any issues yet.

Anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the warranty service?
