| 801376 | 2009-08-15 19:25:00 | Have tower with: HDD with Ubuntu 9.10. Grub bootloader loading Ubuntu, then Vista boot loader (left over from W7 trial) then XP pro as, (older version of windows) HDD used as back up for documents etc (booting not required) 3rd HDD is blank 80 GB. I want to replace 3rd HDD with a sata drive that all ready has XP installed and was bootable. If I just swap the drives for a start nothing nasty should happen.??? Then how should I remove Vista boot loader and have all HDDs boot from GRUB. I have latest "Super Grub" CD I really want second opinion before I open up my precious box and start playing with the innards. |
