665239	2008-05-07 10:09:00	But that is the whole point. It is all part of a natural cycle so there is no point in trying to fight it. If certain species die out then so be it! Others will adapt and we may get new species. Insofar as the ice caps melting and flooding Pacific Islands - that isn't going to happen. It is not a case of head in the sand - it is based on the fact that ice is less dense than water. Similarly carbon dioxide emissions have zip effect on the upper atmosphere. Why? CO2 is heavier than air. Pure and simple facts. I agree we are polluting the planet and there are (or will be) too many people but that is entirely a different issue. IMO this is the Y2K bug all over again - although, as BM pointed out, with no end in sight! :thumbs:	mikebartnz (21)
