665982 2008-05-09 09:21:00 Okay, from the Queen St side of the Britomart Station, or the old PostOffice if you prefer, which for out-of-towners like me is at the harbour or Northern end of Queen St, half a block from the salty stuff on the Eastern Side of the street locate this clock (www.imagef1.net.nz) in about the middle of the building facade. Nip in through the door under there, bear slightly right toward the ticket counter, and there should be some confused people about midway between the door and the counter. No parrots. I will be wearing black trousers, a car dealer's $7500 jacket, black with gaudy bits (I got it because it came with a free car) and no top hat at all. R2x1 (4628)
665983 2008-05-09 09:40:00 Or, as you wisely suggested, a Google picture, somewhere under the tip of the arrow (www.imagef1.net.nz). After that meeting, we can nip off to Asia food Court 9 Albert Street where PCuserwinxp will unerringly locate the best food bargain of the day. (That is at the bottom left of the aerial view) R2x1 (4628)

Hey, I'm impressed by all the how-to-find-us map details, R2x1.

And to think it was just "meet you under the Post Office clock on Saturday night" in my wild young days in Auckland. No more explanation needed...

(Now that I'm old, of course...
I may need help getting up that escalator from my train from Avondale - which the wonderful Mr Maxx has confirmed will get me to Britomart in plenty of time to cry plaintively up from the platform for a team to come down with a stretcher)

But Food courts have been known to have a magical reviving effect on me. In fact, surprise has been expressed on occasions at consumption rates for my size...

As for identity help, tomorrow's weather will determine the garb.
But I shall wear my red trousers - and that will save putting a rose between my teeth.

See ya, guys.

(Or will you all be? Any chance of some female support..?)

665987 2008-05-09 11:53:00 Have a nice time! :) Renmoo (66)
665988 2008-05-09 12:14:00 Jen coming? Chilling_Silence (9)
665989 2008-05-09 21:54:00 Alas Chilling_Silence, I have just recalled that the Vodem is a Winderz only device (unless someone does a bit of unpredictable hacking). I will take it along anyway. R2x1 (4628)
665990 2008-05-09 22:42:00 We will be taking our tablet PC, which runs XP. :) pcuser42 (130)

Laura - you sound like a real sport. Wish I'd met you in another age. ;)
