666402 2008-08-31 00:49:00 I was at a customers House a a couple of weeks ago, they had that window covering installed approx 3 years earlier - it was starting to look terrible on several windows, with lifting and bubbles starting to form. She told me it was OK for the first year, but after that it started to deteriorate - Not worth the money she said. wainuitech (129)
666403 2008-08-31 04:07:00 I have double glazing in this house,as we did in other house, this one we get some condensation, not much but some, seems more than last one,oh dear.

I wonder when they will bring the plastic framing,as apposed to aluminium,we get lots of condensation from the cold aluminium.

Ours was installed by Magic Seal over four years ago (just checked my computer for dates).
There is absolutely no sign of any deterioration whatsoever. It looks just the same as it did when installed.
I wonder what the other people you mention were doing. The lifting and bubbling indicates to me it must be a different design or something.

666405 2008-09-02 11:22:00 I was looking at some 3M film type glazing kits - they recommend that the kit be removed and discarded when the heating season is over. Seems a bit wasteful, but the kit would cost only $30 or so for 5 windows.
That would cover a LOT of heating seasons for the price of some alternatives. However, I think I will just wait for global warming to make the whole business unnecessary at huge savings.
